Process
Peter’s unique works begin with a concept layout in an underpainting. He premixes all of the colors to establish a cohesive palette. Copious amounts of acrylic paint are directly poured or applied with a custom-cut brush to create layers of color on the canvas. Then, the layers are accented with brush-flung strands, added materials, pallet knife grooves and simple manipulation of the canvas. The energy and movement of this process creates vibrant currents of color, light, and reflection in powerful compositions that flow endlessly over the edges of the canvas.
